It is the youngest college of the Pant university situated in the lap of Himalayas at Bharsar (Pauri Garhwal).
To consummate the goal this College came into existence on June 12, 2001 as Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali College of Horticulture, at Bharsar, District Pauri Garhwal. The meaning of Bharsar in local dialog is ‘flourished with natural wealth’. It is spread over in an area of around 175 hectares consisting of forest and horticulture area on 104 and 71 hectares, respectively at an altitude ranging between 1800-2300 m above msl. The College has been named in the memory of freedom fighter Late Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali of this area who was associated with Peshawar events in 1931.

Infrastructure of VCSG College of Horticulture
The College in the nature’s lap is equipped with basic as well as modern amenities must for education, research and extension. The library is dressed with the text and reference books particularly in horticulture backed up by the reprographic equipment, internet access through V-SAT.
The infrastructure work at the campus is progressing speedily. Out of the various structures to be completed under phase I, College Building (I), Scientists Home, Girls and Boys Hostels, Canteen and Residences are nearly completed. In addition to this the gravity based modern irrigation facility is being developed and double filtered drinking water facilities have been commissioned. To keep the environment and ecosystem clean and sustainable an unique “Sewage Treatment Plant” is being engineered at the campus
