This course will teach students how radiology and imaging technology are used to diagnose various diseases and disorders in the human body.
A radiographer uses X-rays to create radiography of patients in order to determine the patient's exact medical condition. A radiographer considers CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRI in addition to X-rays when producing radiography. The field of radiology is divided into two parts: diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology. Diagnostic Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses X-ray images and other imaging techniques to diagnose a patient's disease or injury. Another medical specialty that uses imaging techniques (X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound) for guidance is interventional radiology. Minimally invasive procedures can be used to treat and diagnose patients.
