Dehradun Institute of Technology (DIT) is an engineering college in Uttarakhand, India. DIT is a technical institute offering undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in several streams of Engineering, IT and Management. It has over 2,300 students.

Dehradun Institute of Technology established in 1998 is the largest project of Unison Group. The other projects of the group are I.M.S. Noida, IMS Dehradun, DIT-Faculty of Architecture, DIT-Faculty of Pharmacy, Unison School of Law and Unison World School.

Location of DIT Dehradun

DIT is located in Dehradun, about 240 kilometres northwest of New Delhi. The campus is located on Dehradun Mussoorie Road (northbound), approximately 10 kilometres from the hustle and bustle of Dehradun and approximately 20 kilometres from Mussoorie. It is easily accessible by car or public transportation. There is a bus terminal for local buses as well as those going to Mussoorie and the hills. The campus is less than 30 minutes away from the nearest railway station, Dehradun Station.

• The institute has a full fledged on campus hostel facility for boys and girls. To cater to the accommodation needs of students, the institute has boys hostel blocks with a capaicity of over 800 students and a girls hostel block with a capacity of over 300 students.
• DITU's annual cultural and technical inter-college festival is called Youthopia. Battle of Bands, RoboWars, CodeHunt, and Perceptrix are among the notable events.
• Sphurti is the DITU campus's annual sports competition. DITU invites colleges from across India to compete in sports such as cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, track and field, badminton, and table tennis. Since the first Sphurti, more than 80 colleges have come to participate in Sphurti.
• Vision 2K35 is a DIT University initiative to reach out to Young India, with the goal of promoting Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam's vision of an era when the youth of India would enrich the world with their social, technical, and academic brilliance. Vision 2K35 is a national level youth summit in which students will investigate and assess the potential of renewable and conserving energy infrastructure for the nation by implementing the most innovative Technical Ideas, Energy Auditing, and Audit Presentation. The summit's theme is the role of youth in bringing India into the league of superpowers by 2035.

Auditorium

Variety of events such as conferences, seminars, cultural programmes, debates, plays, and other programmes are held throughout the year, the University has an auditorium and numerous other performing areas that allow students to carry out their activities in the proper environment, smoothly and easily.
 The University Auditorium is centrally air-conditioned, soundproofed, and outfitted with best technology for all types of audio/video presentations. There are also a number of small digital auditoriums available for seminars, meetings, and workshops. For conducting functions, a 500-seat Air Conditioned Auditorium with ultramodern sound facilities is available on campus.

Open Theatre

Aside from a high-tech auditorium and small digital auditoriums, the University has an open air area where a wide range of student activities are held.
 The Open Air Theatre hosts a variety of activities such as 'Nukkad Nataks,' exhibitions, quiz competitions, plays, and fashion shows on a regular basis. A 500-person capacity massive Open Air Theatre with integrated landscaping is available on campus.

Fitness Centre

There are Gymnasiums in both the girls' and boys' hostels. A well-equipped air-conditioned gym in the University hostels, complete with the latest instruments and machines, has improved fitness and health facilities for DIT University students, faculty, and staff.
 The gymnasiums are divided into two sections. One section is for general exercises, and the other is for weight training.

ATM and Banks

The Campus is home to an in-house computerised OBC Bank. The ATMs of OBC and Axis Bank are housed within the building's premises, providing 24-hour ATM service on campus. This service is available to both students and faculty at the college.
Every student can open a bank account upon enrollment and use all banking services, including Internet Banking and ATMs. Internet banking and telebanking are also available.

Mess

Separate dining facilities are available in the Boys' and Girls' hostels. We have 'Annapurna,' a multi-floor Mess for boys with a modern kitchen that can accommodate over 1200 students. The Sarojini Girls Hostel has a separate dining hall and a well-equipped kitchen that can accommodate 300 girls.

The Student Mess Committees decide on the menu. The food served is of high quality and meets the FSSAI/FSMS/HACCP/ISO22000/GMP/GHK quality standards. Special care is taken to provide a well-balanced, nutritional diet with a variety of food tastes.

Hostel

The hostel gives students the feeling of being at home away from home. Keeping the same philosophy in mind, we provide a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment for all DIT University hostel residents. The hostel's accommodations are American-style apartments that are well-furnished, sanitary, and equipped with modern amenities. Each apartment has three rooms that are shared by two students, a lobby, and attached bathrooms. The hostel grounds include a common TV room, tuck-shops (including stationary, barber, bakery, juice, and other shops), and cutting-edge indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The hostel campus has a great modern gym with a trainer. The entire hostel is Wi-Fi enabled, and there is a separate computer centre with 24X7 internet access.

There are currently four on-campus boys' hostels, Raman, Bose, Bhabha, and Sarabhai, with a total capacity of around 1,200 boys. The university also has two separate on-campus girl's hostels, Sarojini and Kasturba, which can accommodate approximately 1,100 female students.

Transportation

DIT University provides a bus service for students and staff that covers the entire city and surrounding areas. The college owns a fleet of 15 buses that are equipped with safety features such as fire extinguishers and a first-aid box. Choosing College Bus transportation ensures both safety and convenience.
