Nandakini is one of the five tributaries of the holy Ganga River. The mighty river originates from Nanda Ghunghati and exists at Nandprayag.
The river then joins Alaknanda River at Nandprayag (870 metres), which is one of the ‘Panch Prayags’, or the holy confluences on the Alaknanda River. The length of this river is 56 km.
