This self-employment scheme implemented in Uttarakhand is helpful in the development of tourism-related infrastructure and transport facilities, while providing self-employment to the local people and making them self-reliant, an important achievement of Uttarakhand tourism is being proved.
Permanent residents of Uttarakhand state can apply under this scheme. If the land is required for the implementation of the scheme, then the owner of the land or if the land is in the name of a close relative of the applicant, the mortgage is acceptable as a primary security, but if the land owner becomes a co-debtor or guarantor with the applicant, So the amount of grant will be payable only to the applicant, but the applicant can also get the benefit of the scheme on the leased land if the period of the lease deed is more than the loan repayment period. Mountain Area: For various purposes of non-vehicle item, 33 percent of capital works in mountainous area up to Rs 15 lakh will be provided. For vehicle item subsidy will be 25% maximum grant of Rs 10 lakhs only.
Plain Area: In Non-vehicle item and vehicle item 25 percent with maximum grant amount of Rs 10.00 lakh has been provided.

According to a transparent selection scheme, the selection of beneficiaries is done by a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, in this committee, Chief Development Officer, Officer of Tourism Department, Lead Bank Manager, General Manager, District Industries Center, representative of Transport Department as member.
There is a provision to provide reservation to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) etc. according to the government orders issued by the State Government from time to time, for the purpose of giving proper benefits of the scheme to the backward sections of the society.
