It is situated at a height of 1875 m above sea level. Joshimath is also a gateway to many Himalayan peaks trekking expedition, climbing expedition and also pilgrims centers like Badrinath Temple. Joshimath is home to the four cardinal pithas which is established by Adi Shankara. Joshimath is a winter seat of Lord Badri because in winter when the Chota Char Dham of Uttarakhand are closed due to climate condition. The main idol of Lord Badri shifted from Badrinath Dham to Vasudeva temple at Joshimath.
Malari village is situated near Joshimath in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. Malari is a small viallage close to the Indo- Tibetan border. It is located in Dhauli Ganga valley at an elevation of 3048 m. Inhabitants of Malari village moves to the lower part of Himalayas during winters due to heavy snowfall. Malari village is a beautiful old village in the Himalayas with very amazing architecture and slate roofing of houses.
Arrival at Joshimath, check-in to the hotel at Joshimath and rest for a while. You are free for exploring a beautiful place. Dinner and overnight stay at Joshimath.
After breakfast, we will drive to Malari Village. We will visit Malari Village if got permits we can try to visit Niti Village as well. You can explore the beautiful village of Malari and learn about their rustic way of life, customs and beliefs. Drive back to Joshimath and local sightseeing if time permits. Night stay in Joshimath.
After breakfast, departure from Joshimath.
