Hopetown Girls Boarding School in Uttarakhand aims to ensure the best boarding facilities so that the girls feel at home. Maximum of 6 to 8 girls in a bright, airy, cheerful, well-lit room, Attached toilet facilities, with running hot and cold water, Independent closets for clothes and personal items, Large common rooms providing television and board games, Benches to sit and relax. Each self-contained boarding house has 50 girls and is under the charge of a House Mistress assisted by an Assistant House Mistress.
The House Mistress's residence is adjacent to the boarding house. The live-in staff see to the well being of the girls, monitor their health and hygiene, maintain discipline and take care of emergencies.
Hopetown Girls School Admission Procedure
All interested parents are required to first register their child. This may be done by filling in and submitting the registration form with the registration fee. Candidates are also required to submit their birth certificate and academic records for the year at the time of registration. The lower age limit for admission in the School is 9 years + as on April 1 of the year of joining the school in Grade V.
- For Grade V-IX: Prospective Grade V–IX students will be required to take an admission test and will be invited to do so in November or January, once the registration forms are in.
- For Grade XI: Prospective Grade XI students will be required to submit their Prelims results for a provisional entry in April. This admission will be confirmed when the results are declared in June.
Please note:
- All candidates will be interviewed briefly by senior members of the teaching staff.
- All candidates will be informed of the dates for the Entrance Tests and receive a syllabus and sample papers. Tests will be conducted in three subjects: English, Mathematics, and Hindi.
- Failure to attend the Entrance Test without prior information will cause the candidate’s registration to lapse and the Registration Fee will be forfeited.
