Dehradun schools were featured in the top 10 ranks in different categories in the 18th annual Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) survey conducted by Education World magazine in association with AZ Research Partners Pvt Ltd.
This particular survey was conducted with sample data gathered by 8700 respondents, including 5,150 parents and 3,550 education professionals in 34 cities and education hubs across India. The survey was conducted to rate the country's Top 4,000 schools on 14 parameters of education excellence.
The EWISR 2024-25 rankings has released in Bengaluru. The survey ranks the country’s top 4,000 schools in 10 categories including Day: Co-ed, Boys and Girls, Day-cum-boarding, Boarding: Co-ed, Girls and Boys, International: Day, Day-cum-boarding and fully Residential. Moreover, Vintage, Private Budget, Special Needs and Government schools are also ranked separately.
In Vintage International Residential Schools category, Woodstock School, Mussoorie tops the chart and in International Residential Schools category, Mussoorie International School ranked number 2 in India. In Vintage Co-ed Day Schools, St Thomas College, Dehradun ranked 4th. In Vintage Girls Day Schools, Convent of Jesus & Mary, Dehradun ranked 12th. In Vintage Boys Boarding Schools, St. George’s College, Mussoorie ranked 3rd. In Vintage Girls Boarding Schools, Convent of Jesus & Mary, Waverley, Mussoorie ranked 2nd. In Vintage Co-Ed Boarding Schools, Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie ranked 3rd.
According to EWISR 2024-25, various schools from Dehradun which made it to the top 10 positions include seven schools in the girls boarding school category, namely Welham Girls School ranked 2nd, Ecole Globale International Girls School ranked 2nd, Hopetown Girls School ranked 6th, Unison World School ranked 3rd, Vantage hall Girls Residential School ranked 7th and Shigally Hill International Academy, Dehradun ranked 13th, The Doon Girls School, Dehradun shared the 9th rank. Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School (Girls), Mussoorie has been ranked 10h.
Among the boys boarding schools, The Doon School ranked 1st and Welham Boys School ranked 2nd in India, Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School (Boys), Mussoorie, came 8th in EW Boys Boarding Schools Ranking in India.
Among the Co-ed boarding schools, Selaqui International School ranked 2nd while Kasiga School ranked 3rd. Apart from Top 10 ranks, The Indian Public School ranked 15th, The Pestle Weed School ranked 31st, Cambrian Hall ranked 23rd, The Aryan School ranked 19th and Tulas International School ranked 32th in India's Top Co-ed Boarding Schools in India.
Among Co-ed Day Schools rankings, Doon International School, Dehradun ranked 111th, DPS Dehradun ranked 83rd and St Josephs Academy, Dehradun ranked 74th position, Summer Valley School, Dehradun ranked 108th and Brightlands Schools ranked 120th in India.
