Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital is a Residential School in Nainital for boys in India that opened in July 1947. This Nainital School is the product of the vision of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, an Indian independence activist.

- Laboratories: The school has well-equipped laboratories for Computer, Science & Mathematics respectively where the students bring their learning into practice and explore the knowledge.
- Library: he school has a spacious, very well stocked, open shelf library cum resource centre designed to encourage children to develop an interest in a variety of subjects and to allow the facility of research and in-depth study. Students are encouraged to use the library and carry out reference work.
- Classes & Boarding House: Classes IV to VIII are in Junior School and onwards up to XII are in Senior School. Though under the common administration their identities are well defined. The present number of boys is around 800 spread over in 10 boarding houses under the charge of experienced House Masters.
- Food and Messing: There is a common dining hall where vegetarian, well-balanced food is provided. However, eggs are there at breakfast. The food is wholesome and nutritious. At an additional cost, milk is also supplied after dinner. The mess menu is revised as per the expert opinion.
- Medical Facilities: The institution has a small infirmary with 10 beds. A Medical Officer (MBBS) with the paramedical crew is there to attend the routine cases. Serious cases, if any, are sent to the local government hospital.

Birla Vidya Mandir Admissions start from IV Class and admissions in classes V, VI, VII VIII and IX is only provided if there are vacancies in the classes. Birla Vidya Mandir Admission is done by registration in advance and paying the registration fee.
Admission in Birla Vidya Mandir for the session commencing from March, are granted on the basis of an admission test-cum- interview, held at various centres.
If a student is found to be medically unfit after he joins the school, he is immediately sent back and the school fee is not refunded. Parents have to give a written undertaking to this effect at the time of admission. Initial admission is valid only up to class X. For class XI one is required to seek fresh admission, which is selective and subject to the discretion of the Principal.
