Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas are English medium schools in Uttarakhand affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Qualifications of Principal and Teachers Joining in Atal Utkrisht Vidyalaya

(A) Principal – Such principals working in Government Inter Colleges of the State, who-

• Capable of reading/communicating through English medium.
• Age should not exceed 55 years on the date of application.

(B) Assistant Teachers LT and lecturers Such assistant teachers LT and lecturers working in government inter colleges of the state, who -

• Be capable of reading/communicating in the relevant subject through English medium.
• Age should not exceed 55 years on the date of application.

Recruitment Process for Principals and Teachers in Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas

1. The Uttarakhand School Education Council will conduct a screening exam, with a subject expert committee, appointed by the Director General of School Education, selecting candidates based on interviews and communication skills. The exam syllabus will be designed to assess English proficiency and subject knowledge.

2. If sufficient number of eligible candidates are not available for selection to the post of Principal, the said posts can be selected by the selection committee constituted through service transfer/deputation.

3. Principals and teachers for Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas will be appointed through a screening exam conducted by a committee formed by the Director General of School Education. Only current government secondary school employees are eligible for this exam, while the recruitment of clerks and non-teaching staff will follow existing procedures.

4. Selected principals, teachers, and non-teaching staff at Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas will retain their original cadre. Their service regulations will follow the existing Uttarakhand Educational Service Rules and related cadre rules.

5. After selection and appointment, the principal and teachers/personnel will be posted at the respective Atal Utkrisht Vidyalaya for a period of 5 years.

6. Teachers and principals in Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas may have their posting extended for 5 years if they achieve a result of over 90% in their subject or exceed the council examination average over the past 5 years and receive outstanding annual reports. The extension is subject to approval by the selection committee and the individual's consent.

7. Before completing the 5-year term, the posting of a principal, teacher, or non-teaching staff member at an Atal Utkrisht Vidyalaya can be terminated early if deemed necessary by the selection committee based on evaluations.

8. Current personnel in Atal Utkrisht Government Inter Colleges will be reassigned to similar category schools through counseling, with the option for those in accessible categories to voluntarily choose remote locations.
