Lacchi enjoys working in the paddy field. She has to lookafter 7 fields, the cattles, the household and the children. She hardly gets any time for herself.

The women lead a tough life in the Uttaranchal villages. They have to work on the fields, collect fodder for the cattle and lookafter the children and the household as well. On an average, every women works 16-18 hours a day.

In most of the families, men have migrated to cities for employment. So women are the sole caretakers of the fields, household and the family.
