Department of Entertainment Tax, Uttrakhand is working under Tax Commissioner of Uttarakhand. It works in the field of entertainment tax in the state.
There are four post of Assistant Commisioner in Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts. Remaining 09 districts has the posts of District Entertainment Tax Officer to forsee the function of Entertainment Tax Department.

History of Entertainment Tax Department
The department was established in 1937 for the collection of fixed and temporary sources of entertainment and stop the evasion of tax. It was widely distributed department in Uttar Pradesh but after creation of Uttarakhand state, it become much smaller due to state size.
