The Twenty Point Programme is a department to regular and effective monitor from field to national level to ensure the desired results of various running schemes. In Uttarakhand, it is monitored by a dedicated Twenty Point Programme implementation wing of DES under the overall direction and supervision of the Deputy Chairman, State level Twenty Point Programme Committee and the Chief Minister as ex-officio chairman of the committee. It has 66 sub items that have been designed to achieve the objectives.
To pull up the poverty from its roots is the main objective of Twenty Point Programme by improving the quality of life especially poor and the under privileged population of the country. It covered various social economic aspects like:
