About Nag Panchami Fair
Location of Nag Devta temple of Syanchatti: Nag Devta temple of Kupra village, Uttarkashi is easily accessible as it is situated near Yamunotri highway. The nearest well known town from this temple is Syanchatti from where Kupra village is situated at a trekking distance of just 2km.
Where this fair is held?
As 'Nag Devta temple' is the prominent shrine of the folks of Syanchatti and near by places so to express their faith on Nag Devta, local dwellers every year organize a grand fair in the temple premises. This year this fair is held on 7th of August 2016.
How to Reach:
Nearest Railway station is Rishikesh and airport is Jolly Grant from where you can hire local taxis to Syanchatti, Uttarkashi. Local buses and sharing Max and Tata Sumos are also available from Dehradun and Rishikesh to Yamunotri side.
Accommodation:
As Syanchatti is not a very famous destination so don't expect luxury hotels there. Although, Syanchatti is situated on the Yamunotri Highway so guest houses and deluxe hotels are available on road sides. You can also ask locals for arranging your stay in village.
