International Yoga Festival (IYF) is an international event for Yoga held every year in yoga capital of India, Rishikesh. The event is jointly organized by Parmarth Niketan Ashram, AYUSH, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board and GMVN.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram is the host of this week long world renowned event where more than 70 presenters, from 20 countries, giving nearly 150 classes, from 4:00 am until 9:30 pm. This internationally acclaimed IYF 2017 will be held from 1st March to 7th March 2017.Renowned Yoga teachers and saints will join from March 1-7, 2017 for the world famous annual International Yoga Festival.
Receive the darshan and inspiring, uplifting wisdom of revered saints, the teaching and touch of renowned yoga teachers. This week long Yoga Festival will witness over 70 hours of Yoga classes from world-class Yoga teachers. There will be more than 60 styles of Yoga practice which includes Kundalini Yoga, Power Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga and Kriya Yoga given by the greatest Yoga Masters from the Eastern and Western lineages of Yoga.
International Yoga Festival 2017 Daily Program
- Daily classes start from 4am.
- Everyday at 6.30am we hold a one-hour yoga class, followed by a simple breakfast.
- At 8.30am you can join one of several two-hour hour yoga sessions.
- At 11:00 am, before lunch, we have divine and inspiring lectures from revered saints and yogacharyas on a variety of uplifting and inspiring subjects.
- A traditional Indian lunch is served from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
- The afternoon starts shortly after lunch with instructional classes, followed by three Yogasana classes from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.
- From 6.00pm to 7.00pm we attend the special light ceremony, Aarti, on the banks of the river Ganga.
- Dinner is served at 7.00pm followed by a special evening programs of satsang with our spiritual leaders, cultural song and dance events, campfires and more, finishing by 9.30pm.
Along with a daily routine of Yoga classes, meditation, mudras, Sanskrit chanting, reiki, Indian philosophy, there will also be cultural music and dance performances highlighting the culture of this Himalayan Garhwal region as well as music from musicians from Israel, Australia and the U.S.
