Cliffesto is a combination of 'Cliff" (signifying height) and 'Festo' (signifying festival). It is the National Level Annual Techno-Cultural Festival of NIT Uttarakhand, an Institute of National Importance established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
The inception of Cliffesto is with the aim of promoting arts, entertainment and tourism in Garhwal region.
eUttaranchal is the Online Media Partner for Cliffesto. The chief attractions of Cliffesto will be technical and cultural events and competitions, a National Level Rafting and Kayaking Workshop, the "Pro-nite" (where a popular band of the likes of Indian Ocean or Euphoria will perform) and the "Sham-e-shayari"
