After the cancellation of CBSE and ICSE 12th exams, now Uttarakhand Board 12th exams have also been canceled. Announcing this on Wednesday, Education Minister Arvind Pandey has issued orders. He said that the government has taken this decision keeping in view the interests of the students and teachers. He said that all the students would be promoted. Also, the children who think that they have been promoted by giving less marks will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination.
A meeting was held in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Education Minister Arvind Pandey, in which Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Secretary Education R Meenakshi Sundaram, Director General Education Vinay Shankar Pandey and officers of the Education Department were present. According to the decision and guidelines of the Central Government and CBSE, it was decided to cancel the Intermediate examination in the state.
More than 1,23,000 students registered in 12th UK Board
More than One lakh 23 thousand students are registered in 12th class of Uttarakhand Board, while more than One lakh 48 thousand students are registered in 10th examination. For the examination of board students, 1347 examination centers were set up by the education department. At first high school examination was canceled by the government. Whereas now the 12th examination has also been canceled.
CBSE process will be implemented in the state
It was decided in the meeting that the state education department would also work according to the procedure which would be adopted by CBSE regarding cancellation of Inter examination.
