All restrictions on college-universities have been lifted since the last year's Covid-19 lockdown in Uttarakhand. The government has issued an order to open all the universities and colleges in Uttarakhand from March 1. On Wednesday, Principal Secretary Anand Vardhan issued directions. Under this, it will be mandatory to follow all the rules of protection from Covid-19.
All Colleges and University in Uttarakhand were closed last year due to the Corona lockdown. Students studying in all these colleges/ universities were being taught online. On December 15, the government issued an order that all those students in the first and last semesters, in which subjects are also required to have practical, will study in the campus.
Now on Wednesday, the government amended this order. On behalf of Principal Secretary Anand Vardhan, an order has been issued to all the Vice Chancellors of State Universities, Director of Higher Education and all District Magistrates. It states that from March 1, all studies in universities and colleges will start as per semester. During this time, protective arrangements will be made to protect against Covid-19.
There are 105 government colleges in the state. Apart from this, there are 18 privately aided colleges. There are about two lakh students studying in all these colleges. All the students will be able to come to the college.
Paramedical Nursing Colleges to start from March
Paramedical-Nursing colleges in Uttarakhand will also open from 01 March 2021. After the Govt order, HNB Medical University has directed all colleges to open from March. There are 46 Govt-Private Nursing, Paramedical colleges in Uttarakhand.
