Course Offered in Uttaranchal Dental College & Medical Research Institute
The Institute imparts BDS (Bachelor in Dental Surgery)training in accordance with the rules laid down by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi and Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar (U.A.). The Institute is affiliated to the said university for the purpose of examination and award of B.D.S. Degree.
Total duration of the course is 4 years + one year compulsory internship during this period the professional examinations that is one at the end of each academic year, are conducted by the university. After passing the final professional examination it is compulsory to undergo one-year rotatory internship, Degree will be awarded only after completion of internship.
Registration and Admission in BDS
A limited number of seats will be registered in advance every year. The candidate seeking their admission may get their seat registered in advance if he/she fulfills the criteria laid down for admission. For further details, please contact head office/administrative office.
Age: The candidates should have completed 17 years of age before 31st December of that commencing session of studies. The candidate should be medically fit.
Qualification: The required qualification of the applicant is not less than 12th standard of U.P.Board or and equivalent examination of any recognized Board/University with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology and has obtained minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. All Selections, in the first instance would be provisional to be confirmed after counseling.
Seats Category and Selection: There are 2 categories of seats; 50% Management Quota through combined Medical Examination conduct by an association of all private colleges, and 50% seats the candidates are provided by state Govt. through U.P.M.T (Uttaranchal Pre-Medical Test).
