The ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand was established on July 8, 2003, by the ICFAI University Act 2003 (Act No.16 of 2003), which was passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly and signed by the Governor. The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) sponsors the ICFAI University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. ICFAI is a non-profit educational society founded in 1984 under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350 F (Act No.1 of 1350F), with the goal of providing finance and management training to students, working executives, and professionals in India.

Campus Infrastructure in ICFAI University Dehradun
The ICFAI campus is located in Selaqui, Dehradun. It has a total built-up area of 2,565,000 square feet (238,300 m2) and includes academic blocks, workshops, laboratories, faculty rooms, an auditorium, seminar halls, computer labs, a library, and other student facilities. Up to 3,000 students can be accommodated on the campus.
