GRD-IMT is located on Rajpur road, Dehradun in the idyllic surroundings of the foothills of Mussoorie, famously known as the "Queen of Hills". The Institute is easily approachable just 5 Kms. from the Clock Tower, the central point of the city. The institute is managed by Guru Ram Dass Education Trust, registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860.

There are different Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes which are offered by GRD - IMT. The program was started in August 2009 with a very humble beginning. The programme is approved by AICTE, Govt. of India and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun. The course is a two-year full-time regular programme divided into four semesters of six months each. The session usually starts from July-August (as per the UTU calendar) every year, out of which there will be a summer training of two months in an organization after appearing in the second semester.

The Guru Ram Dass Educational Trust (Regd.), New Delhi established the GRD Institute in 1989 to honour Shri Guru Ram Dass Ji, the fourth Guru of the Sikhs. GRD Institute of Management & Technology Dehradun, one of the top ten colleges in Dehradun, ensures that all of the faculty members provide the best possible service while also grooming all of the students. The institute was founded with the sole purpose of providing proper and quality education to all students and training them to become future leaders for a better tomorrow. The Guru Ram Das Education Trust was formed in 1982, dedicated to the sacred memory of Guru Ram Das ji with a vision to promote education through schools & higher education institutes. GRD Educational Trust then further put its efforts into extending its education in the area with the opening of more 10+2 schools at Ludhiana, Niranjanpur and Delhi. The Trust has further plans to start secondary schools in Mohali and Sonepat.

Facilities at the GRD IMT Dehradun

• Library: GRD IMT has a well-equipped and spacious library with a large collection of books, journals, newspapers, and periodicals, providing excellent opportunities for students to explore themselves academically as well as personally. The entire library is automated using integrated library software. The library has exclusive digital and book bank sections, as well as subject-specific CD-ROMs and internet access. The library has subscribed to HBR, Bentham, and other reputable journals for research and higher education, and the central library is a member of Delnet.
   
  
• Mess: Along with nutritious food, students are provided with three meals per day. For a better diet, some dieticians are appointed if any students wish to consult about their health. Along with the mess, there is a generator and a CCTV camera on campus. In terms of food, all students are required to follow the rules set forth by the mess. Because students come from all over the country, all of the foods are prepared with different cuisines in mind and served hot to all of the students.

• Labratory: GRD IMT college has an excellent laboratory setup to ensure experiential learning in order to gain a better understanding of the theoretical aspects of pharmaceutical sciences. Modern Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and other laboratories with advanced instruments and well-trained technicians provide opportunities for hands-on learning.
   
  
• Computer Lab: Faculty, researchers, and students in the Department of Computer Science have access to a wide range of constantly changing best computing resources, including laptops, traditional PCs, and scientific workstations, as well as high-powered compute-servers and workstation clusters used as parallel computers. A switched Ethernet local network connects all of the computer systems to the Internet via fibre optic technology to the campus backbone. A wireless network is available, allowing laptop users to connect to the Internet from anywhere in the building or on campus. Every member of our faculty, students, and researchers has the best computer that runs a variant of the Linux or Windows operating systems. Individual research groups have specialised equipment for robotics, computer vision, computer music, parallel computing, networking, and other research activities. All of these resources are available to computer science students, both graduate and undergraduate. In this way, students contribute significantly to our understanding of theoretical and experimental issues in computer science.
   
  
• Insurance: Your coverage begins on the first day of the month when you begin classes. If your arrival date is before the first month of classes, it is strongly advised that you purchase additional emergency health insurance coverage until your insurance policy strikes out. It is also important to note that coverage is only available to registered students of GRD IMT College. This policy does not cover spouses or children. If you have a spouse or dependents, you may want to pay an additional fee to include them in your coverage. The policy does not, and is not intended to, replace your or any member of your family's coverage under the Health Insurance Plan.
   
  
• Hostel:Within the campus, there are separate hostels for boys and girls, as well as mess facilities. Rooms have adequate ventilation, lighting, and power outlets. On-campus generators ensure that students have access to electricity and water 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each hostel has common rooms where students can read newspapers, magazines, watch TV, play table tennis, and participate in a variety of other indoor activities. The spotless and spacious dining hall serves nutritious, hygienic, and wholesome food prepared with the assistance of unique cooking facilities.
   
  
• Medical: The GRD IMT places a high value on its students' well-being. When the need arises, the institute has a qualified physician on campus to care for the students and especially the boarders. In the event of a medical emergency, students are treated by an experienced physician at the hostel.

Admission Procedure in GRD Institute of Management & Technology Dehradun

• A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with more than 50% marks is required for MBA admission.
