History of Dorothy's Seat

Dorothy's Seat or Tiffin Top was built by a British Army Officer Col J.P. Kellett, DSO MC, City of London Regiment in memory of her wife, an English artist, Dorothy Kellet after she died from septicaemia aboard a ship bound for England to be with her 4 children, Elizabeth, Joan, Barbara and Richard. She was buried at sea in The Red Sea in 1936.

Note: It is recommended to visit Tiffin Top during day light since then one can havea proper view of the grandeur beauty of the Kumaon. Tiffintop is a treat for both adults and children. However, adults are advised to accompany children while paying a visit to Tiffin Top.
