Chitkul village is located at a distance of 28 km from Sangla, about 600 kilometers from Delhi in the Kinnaur Valley. It is situated at a height of 3450 m above sea level. Chitkul is the last inhabited village within the Indian boundaries on the old Indo-Tibetan Road.
