Surya Kund is a thermal spring which is situated near the famous Narada Kund, from where Adi Shankaracharya discovered the Lord Vishnu idol. Surya Kund is also visited by pilgrims and devotees who take holy dip in the kund to absolve their sins. Another thermal spring, Tapt Kund, is also situated in the vicinity.

Surya Kund is situated near Tapt Kund which is located on the right just before the entrance of the Badrinath temple.
