Sati Kund

The Sati Kund is located at Kankhal in Haridwar. It is the Yagna Kund or sacrificial fire in which Sati, the daughter of Daksh had immolated her due to her annoyance with her father’s non-acceptance of her husband, Lord Shiva. The Sati Kund is located on the banks of the Ganga at Kankhal which finds mention in the great Indian epic, Mahabharata.

How to Reach Sati Kund

Kankhal is situated just few kilometers away from Har Ki Pauri. Haridwar is well connected with major northern cities via motorable roads. Haridwar Railway Station is well-connected with various major Indian cities like Delhi, Lucknow and Kolkata etc. Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun is the nearest airport to Haridwar.
