Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple

Main Gate of Tapkeshwar Temple, Dehradun. Tapkeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It is also popularly known as Tapkeshwar Mandir. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Special poojas are held on the occasion of Shivratri & Sawan. Tapkeshwar is also well known for the Shivratri fair. This beautiful temple is made by digging caves inside the rocky Mountain where Shivlinga is placed. It derives its name "Tapakeswar" from the natural dripping of the water drops over the shrine from the rocks of the cave. It is situated in Garhi Cantt, Dehradun.

Laxman Siddh Temple

Its a religious place to pray, where on Sundays a large number of people pray together. According to a popular belief, it is said that the temple is constructed in the same place where Laxman underwent repentance for killing the demon king Ravana. This Temple is popular for The Holy Saint Swami Laxman Siddh. It is at Lachhiwala Range, Dehradun.

Daat Kali Mandir

The temple has lots of religious significance. It is one of the oldest temples in Dehradun. Daat Kali Maa attracts many devotees every year. New vehicles are brought here for special worship. It is open throughout the year. It is near Mohabbewala, Sharanpur road, Dehradun.

Buddha Temple

This temple is Asia's largest reliquary and represents Buddhist structural design. It was built by the Tibetan community in 1965 with the aim to preserve and promote Tibetan culture in India. The temple has beautiful architecture, a peaceful atmosphere & impressive interiors. It is near Subhash Nagar, Clement Town, Dehradun.

The temple is thronged by devotees on Saturdays, as it is believed that these days mark the transformation of Santala Devi into a stone statue. The temple stands as a symbol of the faith people have in the temple and has great cultural and religious significance. The temple is maintained by the army and there is a story behind to. It is from Garhi Cantt. Road, Jantunwala, Dehradun.

Shiv Mandir

It is also popularly known as Prakasheshwar Mandir. There is a Bhandara every other day in the Shiv Mandir where the Prashad is distributed to the people visiting the temple. Special poojas are held on the occasion of Shivratri & Sawan. It is situated in the beautiful down the Mussorie road.

Guru Ram Rai Gurudwara

The historical fact that Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji, the eldest son of the Seventh Sikh Guru Har Rai Ji, set up his "dera" in 1676. This "Dera" later on became Dehardun. The Building of the Darbar Sahib is an epitome of Islamic and Hindu architecture. The building contains domes, minarets, gurudwara, Mural paintings reflecting a mixed culture and represent spiritual enlightenment. It is at Guru Ram Rai Market, Machi Gali, Jhanda Mohalla, Dehradun.

Sai Mandir

The temple is visited by many devotees across different faiths. The Sai Temple is constructed out of marble and the idol of Sai Baba is placed in the middle of the temple. There is a large hall in the temple where prayers are held every evening. Where on Thursday large numbers of peoples are used to come here for prayer because Thursday is the day of Sai Baba. It is on Rajpur Road, Dehradun.

Char Siddh

The Char Siddhs, comprising a group of four temples around Dehradun namely Lakshman Siddh (along the Dehradun-Rishikesh road from Dehradun), Kalu Siddh (near Baniyawala), Manak Siddh (near Shimla Bypass Road) and Madu Siddh (near Premnagar). It is commonly believed that visitng all four Siddhs in a single day will fulfill a devotee's wishes.

Gurudwara Nanaksar

It is located at Shivlok Colony, Raipur road, Dehradun. In the evening bhog of Sri Sampat Akhnad Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is performed followed by katha & kirthan. The katha & kirtan are performed in the morning and evening every day.
