The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board has granted approval to Alaknanda Expedition, a reputable rafting company in Rudraprayag, to organize rafting activities in Harsil.
Two esteemed rafting companies, having received official approval, have meticulously crafted an environment conducive to a secure and exhilarating river rafting experience. Capitalizing on the awe-inspiring natural beauty that defines Harshil Valley, stringent safety measures have been instituted, featuring knowledgeable guides, trainee guides, rescue kayaks, and comprehensive rafting equipment. Officially, there is only one long range rafting stretch. The Jangla to Jhala Bridge is 20 kms long white water rafting stretch on Bhagirathi river.

Now, only few hotels and resorts in Harsil conducts short range rafting for the guests. Even some camps in Harsil also provides rafting for adventure tourists. Prices of the river rafting in Harsil ranges from INR 1000 to 4500, depends on the facilities and equipments they provide.
