Shirgul Temple: Shirgul Temple's roof is a gable, and the uppermost beam is adorned with brass vessels held in place by nails. Shirgul temple had only one door, which was interestingly engraved with figurines. Within the Shirgul temple grounds, there is a small dome-shaped temple. Inside this small temple is a Shiva lingam (phallus, symbolic representation of the Lord) 6 inches high and 4 inches in circumference. The Shiva lingam is placed in a water vessel with no clothes or ornaments. The lingam and the vessel are both carved from stone. Shirgul Temple is a sacred place of worship for the locals.
