  • Hadimba Devi Temple: Hadimba Devi temple is also known as Hidimba Devi Temple and Dhungari temple. Maharaja Bahadur Singh was built this ancient temple in 1553. The temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of Bheema. The wooden architecture of the shrine is very distinct from most Hindu temples you will come across in the country.

  • Solang Valley: Solang Nala is a short drive away from Manali. Solang Valley is located at about 8400 feet above sea level. Solang Valley is a heaven for adventure and sports lovers. Winters are the best time to visit while the months of summer are ideal for other adventure sports.

  • Jogini Waterfalls: Jogini Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall in Manali and it is one of the best places to see in Manali. The trail that leads to the waterfall is scenic and gives you a glimpse of the River Beas and the snow-capped peaks of Rohtang. The rushing cascades of Jogini Falls are a short and invigorating trek away from the main town of Manali.

  • Manu Temple: Manu Temple is dedicated to an old sage, it also got its name after that sage. The temple is established in pagoda-style architecture which stands out amidst the deep valleys and mountain peaks that form a postcard-worthy backdrop. You have to trek to reach the temple.

  • The Manali Gompa: Manali Gompa is one of the finest landmarks in Manali. It is built by Tibetan refugees in the 1960s, this monastery allows you to enjoy quiet settings and unmatched spiritual vibes.

  • Bhrigu Lake: Bhrigu Lake is one of the best trekking destinations around Manali. This beautiful lake is located more than 4000 meters above sea level. This place offers most beautiful and panoramic views of the Pir Panjal Range.

  • Hampta Pass: It is one of the easy to moderate grade Himalayan treks. Hampta Pass trek allows you to enjoy mesmerizing views of the Kullu Valley and Lahaul Valley. The pass is located on the Pir Panjal Range at an altitude of over 4000 meters and the route includes fascinating river crossings.

  • Nehru Kund: Nehru Kund is located at a distance of 5 km from Manali. It is a natural spring located on the Manali – Rohtang Pass Highway. Summers is the best time to visit Nehru Kund. It is named after India’s first prime minister, because he used to visit this place during his stay in Manali and drink water from this natural spring.

  • Arjuna Gufa: Arjuna Gufa is located at a distance of 7 km from Manali, close to the gushing currents of the Beas River. Arjun Cave is associated with a legendary story from the Hindu epic “Mahabharata”. One of the best places to visit near Manali for picnic.

  • Van Vihar: Van Vihar is one of the most popular attractions in Manali, Van Vihar is a public park complete with lushness and sky touching deodar trees. Bird watchers will enjoy spotting local species in the park, especially in the morning hours.

  • Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple: Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple is the best place for take some time in completly peaceful environment. It is counted among the best monasteries in Manali, Nyingmapa is where one can connect with your spiritual side.

  • Vashisht hot water spring and temple: Vashisht village is home to a beautiful temple set amidst the dramatic Himalayan topography. It is believed that the temple has a history of more than 4000 years and the interiors of the shrine feature wooden carvings, antique figures, and paintings.

  • Old Manali: Old Manali offers some of the best views in the region because of the forests and apple orchards around the settlement. Old Manali refers to the more antiquated part of town. The bridge over the high-current Manaslu River separates Old Manali from the main town and is an iconic image in itself.

  • Jagatsukh: Jagatsukh is a delightful settlement tucked in the mountains and famous for its temples. Jagatsukh is one of the major villages in the Kullu region and a good place to enjoy some of the vernacular architecture.

  • Manali Sanctuary: Manali Sanctuary is located about 2 km from the town, Manali Sanctuary offers you an unparalleled wilderness experience. It is spreads over 31.8 square kilometers and it is a home to many endangered and rarely sighted species and animals.

  • Solang Nullah: Solang Nullah, located 13 kilometers northwest of  Manali, is well-known for its 300-meter ski lift. It is a picturesque location  with stunning views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Jagatsukh, Manali's  former capital, is also noteworthy.

  • Rohtang Pass: Another adventure tourist destination is Rohtang  Pass, which is 13,050 feet above sea level and can be chilly even on a summer  day. Dassaur Lake, a small lake nearby, is nearby. Beas Kund, the headwaters of  the Beas River, is also nearby.

  • Museum: The Museum of Traditional Himachal Culture, located near the  Hidimba temple, is worth a visit, as it houses artefacts of Kullu valley folk  art.

  • Nyingamapa Gompa Stands: The smaller and more modern Himalayan  Nyingamapa Gompa stands nearer the bazaar, in a sunflower-filled garden. Its  main shrine lit by dozens of electric bulbs and scented with Tibetan incense,  houses a colossal gold-faced Buddha, which is best viewed from a small room on  the first floor.

  • Adventure Sports - Skiing is a popular activity in Manali. Skiing is  available at Solang Nullah (January-March) and Rohtang La. (during summer). The  Mountaineering Institute in Solang Nullah is an excellent training facility.  The deep snowfields allow for heli skiing.

  • Mountaineering: Mountaineering and Allied Sports (Ph. 52342) is about  3 kilometres from the Mall and offers mountaineering and kayaking courses. The  Beas River is suitable for kayaking.

  • Hiking: There are several excellent hikes accessible from Manali.  The 12-kilometer hike up the western bank of the Beas to Solang Valley is  notable. The Lama Dugh meadow is a 6-kilometer hike west of Manali town up to the Manalsu Nala.
