Manali: Manali is regarded as one  of the best places to visit in Himachal Pradesh due to its rich cultural  heritage, deodar and pine forests, and breathtaking views of the snow-capped  mountains.

If you go during the first week of January, you can take part in the  winter carnival, which includes dance performances, street plays, songs, group dance, and a Winter Queen beauty pageant.

Manali also draws adventure  seekers with its white water rafting opportunities on the River Beas, which has  Grade II and III rapids.

Shimla: Shimla is one of the best  honeymoon destinations. Its rich colonial past is reflected in its  architecture, some of which are also popular tourist attractions, such as  Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, and Barnes Court (now known as Raj Bhavan).

The ride on the toy train from  Kalka to Shimla, which has also been designated as a UNESCO heritage site,  stands apart from all of these in terms of pure excitement and thrill.

Dharamshala: Dharamshala, like  most other tourist destinations in Shimla, has a strong colonial influence.  However, the Tibetan influence outweighs all other influences.

In Mcleodganj, a small town  populated mostly by Tibetans, you could easily imagine yourself landing in  Tibet unexpectedly! Explore the main street with its Tibetan craft shops,  sample Tibetan cuisine, and pay a visit to the Tsuglag Khang temple.

Dalhousie: Dalhousie, a hill  station whose charm won Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's heart, is always one of  the best places to visit with family in Himachal (Freedom fighter of India).

The massive Dhauladhar Ranges  with their snow-capped peaks, rich colonial architecture, beautiful churches,  forest trails that overlook wooded hills, waterfalls and springs, and a  pleasant climate all contribute to its popularity as a tourist destination in  Himachal.

Kalpa: In the heritage village of  Kalpa, you will be touched by the hand of happiness as the rising sun crimsonly touches the snowy peaks in the morning. You'll also be interested to learn that  Governor General Lord Dalhousie visited this popular Himachal travel destination  in the nineteenth century.

What is most intriguing is its  proximity to Kinner Kailash, which is thought to be Lord Shiva's winter  residence. It is also one of the best places to visit in Himachal during the  monsoon, as the rains enhance its beauty.

Tosh: If you want to spend your  vacation in Himachal in complete peace while seeing one incredible scenery  after another, go to Tosh in Parvati Valley.

You should go there to see the  beautiful side of nature, such as walking along the Parvati River, trekking  through Kheerganga, and breathing in lots of fresh, pure air. There are also a  lot of backpackers from Israel and Europe here!

Marhi: If you enjoy trekking, you  should stop in Marhi, which is located on the Manali Leh Highway between Manali and Rohtang La. From Kothi, you can trek to Marhi, passing through beautiful  valleys, snow-capped peaks, and breathtaking views.

Tirthan Valley: Tirthan Valley is  an unusual Himachal tourist destination, which is surprising given the natural  beauty it possesses. The valley is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Great  Himalayan National Park. It is a pure bliss to find yourself here, surrounded  by mountains, alpine meadows, coniferous forests, and peace that soaks you from within.

Bird enthusiasts should also  consider visiting this location, which has been designated as an Important Bird  Area by the IUCN and is home to over 300 species of birds.

Kangra: Don't forget to visit  Kangra while on vacation in Himachal if you want to do a lot of sightseeing and  learn about the region's heritage and culture.

The Kangra Fort, which was built  in 1615 AD and withstood a siege by the armies of the Mughal emperor, Akbar, is  an example of this. The Kangra school of painting is another well-known school  of painting that originated here.

Nako: Nako is a popular tourist  destination in Himachal Pradesh due to its serenity, untouched beauty, and picturesque beauty. However, because it is so close to the Tibetan border,  visitors must obtain an Inner Line Permit to visit.

Sainj Valley: Because this blog  is about the 12 best places in Himachal that celebrate the beauty of the state,  a place like Sainj Valley will naturally make the list. It is the epitome of  untouched beauty, with hills, meadows, lakes, and even villages that feel too  beautiful to be touched.

It is situated in the lower  ranges of the Great Himalayan National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage  Site in and of itself.

Tabo: The Dalai Lama once  expressed a desire to retire in Tabo because he considered Tabo Monastery to be  the holiest monastery in the world. However, this is not the only reason to  visit this charming town.

It is the most remote travel  destination in Himachal due to its remoteness. It's fascinating to learn that  ancient mud structures have survived for over a thousand years with only minor  repairs. There are also several caves, some of which are still used as  dwellings by the locals! But wait, you can also use them to camp for a few  nights!

Kasauli: Kasauli, a beautiful  hill station dotting the Shivalik Hills, will transport you back to colonial  times. Because it was founded by Britishers, it has retained its colonial  charm. Kasauli is an escape full of nature's bliss and serenity that every  nature lover seeks, with an abundance of Pine and Oak trees, gorgeous gardens,  colourful shops, tennis courts, cobbled paths, churches, and clubs.

The most  intriguing fact about Kasauli is that it is home to one of Asia's oldest  operating distilleries for Scotch Whiskey - the Kasauli Brewery and Distillery.  It is one of Himachal Pradesh's most enchanting destinations, with lofty snowstorms, crisp mountain breezes, and torrents.

Chail: Chail is one of India's  most popular hill stations to visit. It was once the state of patiala's summer  capital.
