Towering at a height of 6,191m, Om Parvat lays 74% in the neighboring country of Nepal while the rest lies in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Om Parvat is one the most revered peak for Hindus and pilgrims and devotees visited the region to get a glimpse of it. One the main attraction is the formation of divine symbol ‘?’ on the peak when the ice covers it in snow during the winter. To get a spellbinding view of the Om Parvat, tourists and backpackers need to travel to Dharchula, which is located on the Indo-Nepal border, some 83 km from the Pithoragarh city. Dharchula is will connected via motorable roads and state-owned buses ply from Dharchula to Almora, Champawat and Munsiyari. Tourists travelling from Delhi will have to get off to Almora and then take a bus/taxi to Dharchula. Nearest railway station is at Tanakpur (150 kms) while Pantnagar is the nearest airport (130 km).
