Nakuleshwar is combination of two words NAKUL+ ESHWAR; where the statue of Mahishasur Mardani referring to the Mighty Himalayas forms the word Nakul and the word Eshwar is hindi translation of GOD. Hence Nakuleshwar refers to Lord Shiva- the lord of Himalaya. As per mythology, the temple was constructed by two Pandavas Nakul and Sahedev.
