Regional Science Centre in Dehradun is a newly created science park that educates as well as entertains visitors especially school children. It is a perfect outing destination for school children to expand their scope of knowledge. The science park includes Dinosaurs Park, a Himalayan gallery, a 3D theatre, a library, a 200-seater auditorium, and an exhibition hall. It is located inside the premise of Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology, Vigyan Dham, near Premnagar (13 kms from Clock Tower).

Forest Research Institute Dehradun

Surrounded with lush greenery, the Forest Research Institute situated in Dehradun is a great hangout place for college grads. The impressive and grand FRI building also houses few museums for the general public. There are six sections in the museums that deal with silviculture, entomology and forest pathology. Timber museum is also a great attraction which showcases how timber has been a part of our daily lives. FRI is located near Ballupur Chowk, 5 kms from Clock Tower.

Subir Raha Oil Museum

In order to educate and entertain the general public about the various aspects of crude oil and technologies, ONGC opened an oil museum for the people. The museum focuses on oil history, exploration and production of oil along with the refining technology and logistics. Tourists can also check out the audio-visual rooms in the museum which showcases the chronicles of ONGC and the overall Oil industry in India. The museum is located near Doon School, some 2 kms from Clock Tower.

Zonal Anthropological Museum

The zonal museum in Dehradun was established in 1972 by the Anthropological Survey of India. It showcases different historical artifacts that are related to the origin and sustenance of mankind in the region. Apart from that, visitors can also learn about the social customs of the first inhabitant of the Himalayan foothills. The Zonal Museum is located near FRI and 5 kms from Clock Tower.

Wadia Geology Museum

The Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology houses a beautiful museum dedicated to the geology of the great Himalayas. The museum is open to the public and educates about the origins, its evolution, natural resources, and its geological past. The museum also showcases the environmental aspects of the Himalayas and how it affects us. The main attraction of the museum is the impact of human activities on our environment. The Wadia Institute is situated 3 kms from the Clock Tower.
