It lies on the way of Govind National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary. Mori looks amazing as it is settled in Singtoor range of Purola. Mori is rich in vegetation and offers panoramic view of dense forest and villages on the banks of Tons. Mori is also a mid point of Purola, Uttarkashi & Hanol. Which makes it a place to stop for travelers. Hotels, market and other basic facilities are available for tourists here like medical & tyre shop. 

Things to do In Mori

Earlier Mori was famous for river rafting in Tons river but cause now Rishikesh based operators are selling cheap tourism packages so travellers are heading to Rishikesh for rafting instead of Mori. Other activities to do in Mori Uttarkashi are:

• Jungle Walk: As Mori is situated in Singtoor range, it offers a variety of flora & fauna. Nature lover and walk through the tall deodar trees while enjoying the chirping of birds.
• Beach Camping:  The whole stretch of Tons river is known for its beautiful beaches surrounded with tall and dark deodar trees.
• Village Walk: While exploring the villages of Mori, you can learn their culture, the local wooden houses represent a great architecture of local region. You can enjoy the hospitality and local food here as culture is still alive here.
• Bird watching: Close to Gobind National Park & situated in Singtoor ranges, Mori is a heaven to Bird watchers. Wake up early and see how lucky you are.
• Trekking: There are plenty of trekking options available from  Mori as it is road to best himalayan treks of Uttarkashi district. You can ask to your guide for that.

Location & How to Reach Mori

Direct buses from Dehradun Railway station or Mussoorie bus stand (Dehradun) are available to Sankri which travel through Mori. You can get down at Mori. Buses from both Nainbagh & Hanol side are also available to Mori.
