Moila Top is located in Chakrata, Dehradun, and can be reached with ease by road. From Dehradun, tourists can travel approximately 89 km to Chakrata, and then take a 20 km drive to Lokhandi. Beyond Lokhandi Forest Check Post, there is another drive of 3 kms on unmetalled road taking you to Forest Rest House Budher, the starting point of the trek. From FRH, a scenic 2.5 km trek leads to the top, offering stunning views along the way. The nearest railway station is Dehradun Railway Station, and the closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, both of which provide convenient access to the region.
Important Tip for Travellers
The unmetalled road from Forest Check Post at Lokhandi to Forest Rest House is approx 3kms and not suitable for hatchback or sedan cars as most part of the pathway is rocky and bumpy. While the entire road is very scenic but not a cakewalk for the drivers. You can leave your car at Lokhandi and travel till Forest Rest House on a shared local cab/Max.
