Mandal River originates within the eastern heights of Talla Salan in Chamoli district and is an important tributary of Ramganga River. An important breeding place of Mahaseer fish, Mandal River cascades down the mountainous region of Uttarakhand for 32 kilometers before joining Ramganga.

Another way to unwind is to camp beside the river with your family and friends. One has to take prior permissions from Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) for angling and fishing.
