Lohajung is the base camp to various treks into the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The treks to Roopkund, Brahmatal and Bedni Bugyal are some of the popular treks that start from Lohajung.

Roopkund TrekThe track to Roopkund passes through some of the stunning and exotic landscape of Himalayas with long stretch of oak forest and snow fields. This Valley is surrounded by a stunning view of Trisul (7120 meters) and Nanda Ghunti (6310 meters). Roopkund is often called Mystery Lake or Skeleton Lake because hundreds of skeleton were found around the lake.

Brahamtal Trek: Himalayas offers few treks in winter that are as adventurous and stunning. One of them is Brahmatal. The amount of snow at the trek attracts every trekker. The trekkers are awed by the views of summits over 7000 metres. This is one among the easy treks in winters. During summers when snow melts, the trail with rocky terrain becomes difficult to trek.

This trek passes through lush green grassy land, conifer forest clinging into the slopes of hills and steep climbs.

Roopkund Homkund Ronti Saddle Trek: Homkund is a high altitude mountain located in Chamoli District. From here you can see two prominent Himalayan peaks, Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. Homkund is the final destination of Nanda Jat Yatra, which commences after every 12-years.The trek, further continues via Ronti Saddle & Channia Ghat to end in Sutol.

Ali Bugyal Trek: Ali Bugyal is another mesmerizing alpine meadow or grasslands in Uttarakhand that draws adventure backpackers towards itself.
