Rs 1.40 crore approved by the government for the improvement of the dilapidated road connecting the tourist place Abbott Mount.

CampingSince there are not many accommodation options at Lohaghat, backpackers usually prefer camping out in the open under the sky. Since Lohaghat is not a trekking destination, one should bring their own camping equipment.

Being a small town, there are no fancy restaurants and cafes at Lohaghat. One can find local restaurants and other roadside dhabas which serve popular north Indian cuisine with well-known Chinese items like Chow mien, noodles, momos etc.  Some high-end hotels may have in-house restaurants serving delicious meals according to guests’ liking.

During summers the area is covered with 'Burans' Rhododendron, the state flower of Uttarakhand. Lohaghat is spread over ab area of approximately 4.5sqkms. There are numerous temples in Lohaghat and each of them holds some association with our historical and mythological past.
