Mysteries about Khait Parvat
According to local people or local myths, It is said Khair Parvat is the residence of Fairies. It is believed that there are nine goddesses who live in the nine series of Khait Parvat which are sisters. Local people call them “Aanchri” or “Bharadi”. Locals said that these fairies reside here in an invisible form.
Here a story of a man named Jeetu is also very popular. It is said that fairies being attracted to the sound of Jeetu's flute, the fairies came in front of him and took him with them. Locals said fairies take the ones with them who make noise or wear vibrant colors cloth. So vibrant color cloths and making noise is not allowed in this place.
Hiking in Khait Parvat
Hiking in Khait Parvat is a very beautiful experience you must have once in your lifetime. Khait Parvat is the highest peak in the Tehri District of the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state. It will offer majestic views of some Himalayan ranges from - Kedardome, Kedarnath, Bhartekhunta, Kirtistambh, tip of Shivling, Meru group (Main and North), Thalayasagar, Bhrigupanth, Manda, Jogin, Jaonly and Draupadi Ka Danda. You can visit Khait Parvat only by hiking from Musankiri Village. Khait Parvat is 5 km away from Musankiri village. Hiking in Khait Parvat is very difficult and it will take upto 3-5 hr trek from the Last village which has a motorable road.

Khait Parvat is situated in Ghansali of Tehri District of Uttarakhand state. You can reach here by 5 km trek from Musankiri Village which is 25 km from Ghansali. Khait Parvat is not connected by motorable roads. There is no railway station or airport near Khair Parvat. Rishikesh railway station is the nearest railway station and Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the nearest airport from Khait Parvat.
