This temple once boasted the intricate designs carved on the wooden doors and panels of the temple, making it the second most beautiful shrine in India, after the Konark Sun Temple.

Sun Temple History

However, after the theft of a 10th-century idol, the carved wooden doors and panels were transported to the National Museum, Delhi. When the first sun rays fall on Katarmal Surya Temple it enlightens an ancient idol of a sun god called Vraddhaditya.
