Taking its seat atop a verdant hill, the Kalamuni Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali is a sacred place of worship located on the way to Munsiyari town. Many trekkers assemble here to trek further and camp amidst the enduring beauty of the hills. One can have a gorgeous panorama of the Panchachuli peaks and the dusk wrapped in multicolour hues that looks mesmerising from here.

Buses to the nearest cities like Champawat, Almora, Tanakpur and Haldwani can be easily available from ISBT Anand Vihar Delhi, from where you can hire a taxi to reach Munsiyari. Tanakpur railway station at 274 km is the nearest railhead from Munsiyari. Taxis to Munsiyari are available from this railhead. Pantnagar airport at 313 km is the closest air connectivity from here. Taxis to Munsiyari are easily available from this airport.
