The Kaladhungi Heritage Zone Safari offers an exciting 26 kms wildlife adventure through a region rich in biodiversity, where visitors can spot tigers, leopards, deer, elephants, and other indigenous species. Located near the Kaladhungi area, the safari also provides insights into the history of the famous hunter and conservationist Jim Corbett. 

The entry gate, situated on Haldwani Road near a bridge, serves as the starting point for the safari, with 30 Gypsy vehicles available for both morning and evening shifts, ensuring a memorable and immersive experience in nature and history.

Corbett Heritage Safari Kaladhungi

The Kaladhungi Heritage Zone Safari, also known as the Corbett Heritage Safari, is located in Kaladhungi, which was the workplace of Jim Corbett. A total of 36 experienced nature guides have been deployed in this zone to enhance the safari experience for tourists. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy both treks and jungle safaris, entering the serene Moosabangar area and the surrounding parts of Kaladhungi.

The journey begins with an exciting jungle safari, taking tourists through the beautiful landscapes of Kaladhungi, before proceeding towards Pawalgarh via the Bor River and Barati Rau Falls. The trek, which spans approximately 10 km, leads through a variety of ecosystems, including dense forests, grasslands, Sadri broad areas, and mixed Sal forests. This diverse terrain offers an exceptional opportunity to spot wildlife such as tigers, leopards, deer, elephants, and other indigenous species.

During the safari, visitors will also have the chance to experience the natural beauty of the region, with highlights including the famous Corbett Falls. The adventure concludes at the Pawalgarh Gate, offering a perfect end to a memorable journey through one of India’s most renowned wildlife habitats

    Morning Safari: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
    Evening Safari: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

  • Zone 2 :
    9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The Kaladhungi Heritage Zone Safari is located in Kaladhungi, Chhoti Haldwani. The safari gate is situated close to the Jim Corbett Museum, which is a prominent landmark in the area. 

To reach the Kaladhungi Heritage Zone Safari, you can drive from Nainital (about 35 km) or Haldwani (about 20 km) as Kaladhungi is well-connected by road. You can either drive your own vehicle or book a taxi to reach the entry point of the Corbett Heritage Jungle Safari, which is near the Jim Corbett Museum. From there, safari jeeps are available to take you through the Kaladhungi Heritage Zone for a guided safari experience.
