Kainchi Dham 60th Foundation Day (2024)

On this day, devotees of Baba Neem Karoli from all over India and around the world visit Kainchi Dham to pay their respects. In anticipation of the large number of devotees, the district administration is making special arrangements to ensure law and order and maintain peace during the Kainchi Dham Festival.

To ensure the smooth management of the Mahotsav, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami personally oversaw the arrangements. The government meticulously planned this year's festival, taking into account the chaos of previous years.

During the Kainchi Dham Mahotsav, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were on standby for the first time. Additionally, the forest and fire departments were deployed to ensure safety. Given the risks of forest fires and accidents due to extreme heat, all teams remained vigilant. Continuous monitoring was in place, with mobile teams patrolling the pine and other forest routes.

Special shuttle service was initiated
Additionally, a shuttle service comprising around 460 buses and taxis was initiated for devotees traveling to Kainchidham Darshan from Haldwani bus stand and railway station. Furthermore, small and large parking lots were established at 24 locations spanning Haldwani, Bhowali, Bhimtal, and Kainchi Dham

Traffic coming from Almora, Bageshwar side was diverted to alternative routes
During this period, the government made several essential arrangements for the convenience of devotees, including 7 water tankers, 6 mobile toilets, and medical teams. Despite the unprecedented gathering of devotees, efficient management ensured smooth, safe, and well-organized travel. Additionally, people traveling from Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, and Nainital districts to Kainchi Dham were safely directed via highways and alternative routes, earning widespread praise for the government’s effective travel management.
