The waterfall cascades down from a height of around 150 feet through multiple levels. There is a small pool at the base formed by the fall and visitors can take a plunge in the water and spend some time.
The flow of the water is heaving in monsoons and suggested not to adventure into the water during this time. Jogini mata temple is at the base of the waterfall. It is a sacred site to the surrounding villages. The locals bring their children for their first tonsure here.
It takes about 3 hours to climb to the Jogini Waterfall, so make sure to carry a camera to capture the mind stirring beauty of the location. The trekkers are enchanted as they cross several smaller streams with a dazzling view of River Beas and the snow-dusted peaks of Rohtang.
The best time to visit Jogini Waterfall is during the summer season in between the months of March and May and during the winters in between the months between October and February. The temperature drops considerably low during the winters while it stays pleasant throughout the summer and both the seasons make the trek to the waterfall an incredible adventure.
The leisurely 2 km trek to Jogini Waterfall begins at Vashisht Temple which is located around 2 km from the main market. You can hail public transport to reach the temple. Auto rickshaws, buses, and taxis are the best modes of public transportation in Manali.
