Jhirna Gate is the most famous entry gate of Corbett National Park as it remains open for visitors all round the year. Jhirna Gate is also known as Khara Gate. Located at 20 km from Ramnagar city, Jhirna Gate is the main entry point for beautiful and wild Jhirna Range. Known for natural beauty and wild beer, Jhirna range provides some spectacular views of the jungle.

Send Enquiry for Tour PackagesVisitors can also stay overnight at Jhirna Forest Rest House. With a permit from Corbett Tiger Reserve, visitors can take morning or evening safari through Jhirna Gate. In both the morning and evening tour only 25 vehicles each are allowed through this gate. A guide for the tour is compulsory.
Jhirna Gate is the only gate in Corbett National Park which remains open all round the year. During heavy rain some tours might be cancelled by the Park authorities.

Jhirna Gate is located at 20 km from the Ramnagar city and taxi/jeep are easily available to reach Jhirna Gate. Ramnagar is well connected by road and rail. Regular buses are available from Delhi (245 kms), Haldwani (55 kms), Kathgodam (63 kms) and other major cities of Garhwal and Kumaon to reach Ramnagar. Nearest rail is at Ramnagar railway station (20 kms) and airport at Pantnagar airport or Delhi IGI airport.
