Following incidents where some pilgrims attempted to forcibly enter the Jageshwar Temple in Uttarakhand, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has enforced restrictions. Pilgrims are now prohibited from entering the temple before sunrise and after sunset in Almora.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the month-long Shravani Mela at Jageshwar Dham on Tuesday by offering prayers. During the ceremony, he planted a Padam tree at the Bhandara site, promoting environmental protection and extending greetings for the Harela festival.

In a significant find, two ancient Shivalings were discovered during the ongoing excavation at the sacred Jageshwar Dham site. Believed to have deep spiritual connections to Bhagwan Shiva, the revelation has attracted a large number of devotees eager to witness and offer prayers to these newly unearthed relics.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jageshwar Dham in district Almora, also known as the fifth Dham of Uttarakhand, and offered prayers and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the countrymen. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present there and along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
