Rajaji Tiger Reserve is cocooned amidst the Shivalik ranges and the Indo-Gangetic plains. It is located to the east of Haridwar. The reserve encircles the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas, covering an area of 820 km square in the district of Haridwar, Dehradun, and Pauri Garhwal.

The Rajaji National Park has several gates and is accessible from Dehradun, Kotdwar, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. Saharanpur, which is linked by train to other parts of India, is another popular point to reach the Mohand area of the Park in nearly an hour by road.

By Air: Nearest airport is Jolly Grant in Dehradun, 33 kms only. Jolly Grant Airport which is only a few kilometers away from the Northern Boundary of the Park has a daily 50 minutes flight from Delhi.
By Rail: Nearest railhead is at Haridwar (8km), Dehradun (24km) and Rishikesh. All these are connected to major states of India through the Indian Railway network.
