NagTibba, the highest peak in the Lesser Himalayan region of the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand is a trekker’s delight as it is blessed with the abundance of nature. Nag Tibba is located 58 Kms from Mussoorie, 88 kms from Dehradun in the Garhwal Himalayas including the trek distance of 8 kms from Pantwari Village. You can reach Pantwari by road.
Nag Tibba trek is one of easiest and closest trek from Delhi NCR Region (including Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Sonipat). You can easily reach Dehradun and then further to Pantwari (starting point of trek) for Nag Tibba.
Distance from Delhi to Nag Tibba Base: 330 kms
Nag Tibba Trek from Delhi is a 3 days trek. And the itinerary is as following
Day 0: Overnight Drive from Delhi to Dehradun. Start your journey at night. It will take around 5-6 hours to reach Dehradun. You can also take overnight bus or train to Dehradun.
Day 1: Dehradun to Pantwari. It is a 99 kms drive which takes 4-5 Hours. Trek from Pantwari to Nag Tibba base camp for camping.
Day 2: After breakfast, trek from Nag Tibba temple campsite to the summit which is 3 kms trek. Returning to Pantwari from Nag Tibba summit. Lunch on the way and reach Dehradun from Pantwari by the evening. You can take overnight bus/train to reach Delhi on next Day morning.
Day 3: Reach Delhi early in the morning.
There are three routes from where you can commence this trek; one is from Devalsari, the other is from Pantwari and the third one is from Aunter.
Trek Route 1: From Devalsari Village (13 kms)
The trek to Nag Tibba starts from Devalsari (13 kms) where one can stay Forest Guest House by taking permission from the Mussoorie Forest Office. You can trek further for 3 kms to Nag tibba top which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. The route goes through the thick deodar forest and reaches to the remote place with almost no habitation.
For Overnight stay, camping gear is recommended for trekkers because there is no accommodation at the place. The nearest accommodation is Devalsari guest house. Same day trek is one of the option but it becomes very tiring and you will end up without enjoying the scenic beauty and nature.
Trek Route 2: From Panthwari Village (8 Kms)
Panthwari village is 50 Kms by road from Mussoorie and 85 Kms from Dehradun. It is one the shortest route to reach Nag Tibba (just 8 Kms) from Panthwari village. Though the route is is little complicated and requires a guide.
Trek route 3: From Aunter
The motorable route via Thatyur goes all the way up near bridle path near Aunter. From here you walk up to the ridge top to Aunter, from here the route is quite straight with few slopes.

How to reach Devalsari Village: To reach Devalsari you have take a direct jeep or shared taxi. Alternatively, take any bus or jeep going down the Tehri Road and get off at Suakholi or Sukholi (10 km east). The side-road to Thatyur starts here; take the first jeep going that way (21 km north). All eastbound buses/jeeps leave Mussoorie from the Community Hospital on Tehri Road.
How to reach Panthwari Village: It is just 50 Kms from Mussoorie, and you have to take the route towards Kempty Fall, crossing Yamuna bridge and taking Purola road till Nainbagh. From Nainbagh you have to take right towards Nagtibba road. Panthwari Village is just 12 kms drive from Nainbagh.
