Location of Kuari Pass
Kuari means "doorway" and Kuari Pass is a Himalayan high mountain pass situated in the Garhwal region. It is located on the south of the Tibetan border and on the western rim of the "Nanda Devi Sanctuary" Biosphere Reserve.
How to Reach the base of Kuari Pass?
The trip to Kauri Pass can begin from Delhi, Dehradun or Haridwar but all routes must go from Rishikesh to Devprayag, then reaching Rudraprayag en-route Srinagar, and then from Karnaprayag and to Nandprayag.
Option 1: Here the trekkers can start their way to Ghat and begin the trek, which Route Number 1 as mentioned above. You will pass through Ramana-Pana and Dakhwani finally reaching Kauri pass.
Options 2: For other trek routes you can continue to the journey from Nandprayag to Chamoli and then Joshimath, the alternate route can be taken. Trek to Auli, pass through Gorsan Bugyal and reach Kuari Pass.
