Timing and best time to visit Himalayan Bird Park in Shimla

The Himalayan Bird Park is open for visitors during summers only from March to September. The timing of the park is from 10 AM to 5 PM. The best time to visit the park is during the morning and evening hours. The absolute time expected to visit the park is around two-three hours. During winters, the whole park is covered with snow.

This park is commonly known as the Himalayan Aviary. Being a famous aviary of India it is situated at an altitude of 2000 m. It is visited by thousands of visitors as well as locals. Visitors mostly come here to look at the collection of pheasants, peacocks, peafowl etc. The Himalayan Monals found in this aviary is the main attraction for the visitors.

Himalayan Bird Park is situated in the western side of the famous Scandal Point, it is only 4.5 km away from the Scandal Point.
